BOP Installation
The BOP is designed to sit a pedestal on the dolly and secured by bolts. The dolly has four vertical arms fitted with rollers which ride on guide tracks. The dolly is equipped with two electric motors that provide the means to move the BOP to and fro well-center in the DS-ODS direction.
An installation skid frame is installed at each ends (DS and ODS) of the substructure at the lower south box and the lower north box. A roller guide track is installed on beams that run in the ODS to DS direction attached to the well-center face of the lower boxes. The installation skid frames on the DS and ODS ends of the substructure are also fitted with the same roller guide tracks which are collinear with the guide tracks along the well-center face of the boxes.
